research funds of 60.946 million yuan£®Including 89 newly approved
projects supported by National funds for Researches on Natural Sciences
with the research fund totaling 8.622 million yuan£¬making Inner Mongolia
University the leading force among all the universities and research
Institutes In the whole region In academic research£®215 monographs
and 3,735 articles have been published£®Thee hundred and one projects
have been awarded prizes ot different levels£¬Including 5 national
awards and 281 regional prizes£®In February 2001£¬Dr£®Shorgan,being the
only prized Individual from Inner Mongolia£¬attended the National Awarding
Conference for Scientific£¦Technical Improvements£¬and his research
project£®"the Research£¦Commercialization of the Bovine IVF Technology"£¬a
state-approved project of the "863 Projects"£®won the second
prize£®Research achievements on Mongolian studies In the University
are also widely recognized£®During the ninth"Five£Year Plan Period"£¬more
than 90 academic works and more than 600 papers got published£¬while
more than 50 research projects were undertaken£¬with 62 awarded prizes
above regional level¡£

of research achievements £®Utilizing its technical and scholarly advantages£¬the
University established Fangyuan Metallurgy£¦Chemistry Co£®Ltd£®Xur: Biological
High technology Co£®Ltd£¬and the Center of Social£¦Economic Development£¬focusing
on local markets.By this means£¬the University Has made much contribution
to the economic development£¬social improvement and scientific advancement
of Inner Mongolia£¬achieving satisfactory social and economic effects£®
