Inner Mongolia University
takes an active part in academic exchanges and co-operations with
other countries, establishing inter-collegiate relations with such
countries as the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, Finland,
Korea, Mongolia, Germany and Russia , etc. in recent years. Visiting
scholars and students from both sides have been exchanged. Since the
beginning of the "Project 211", there has been an noticeble
increase in the academic exchange activities. More than 400 personnel
have been sent to foreign countries, meanwhile , more than 1,700 visiting
scholars and experts from 25 countries and regions have been received
by Inner Mongolia University. Seventeen foreign teachers and experts
have been invited to teach in the University and foreign students
from 5 different countries are studying in the University. Such international
conferences as "International Symposium on Theoretical Biophysics
and Biomathematics, "international Symposium on Mongolian Highland
Pasture", "the Third International Symposium on Mongolian
studies " and "International Symposium on Northrop Frye
Studies", with a total attendance of more than 200 people from
21 countries and regions, were hosted by Inner Mongolia University.
All these activities play a positive role in assimilating advanced
experiences, acquiring academic information, obtaining knowledge of
the most recent development in various kinds of academic fields, and,
at the same time, making the University better known in international
academic circles.
